The British Institute in Eastern Africa (BIEA) Memoir series comprises major scholarly publications, often published with James Currey, detailing in-depth archaeological and historical research in Eastern Africa. These volumes focus on significant excavation findings, site surveys, and specialized studies across the region, including notable works on Aksum and the Swahili Coast.
