Future Rural Africa Collaborative Research Centre (CRC)

.This 12-year interdisciplinary, collaborative research centre (2018–2029) is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and brings together geographers, anthropologists, political scientists, agricultural economists, soil scientists, and ecologists from the Universities of Bonn and Cologne, alongside African partners.

The MAEASaM project is working to identify and document endangered archaeological heritage sites across eight African countries, dated from the Palaeolithic/Early Stone Age to the 20th century, then share this information to help protect them.
