The British Institute in Eastern Africa (BIEA) and the Journal of Eastern African Studies (JEAS) warmly invites members and all researchers of the region to a drinks reception at St John’s College, 3 South Bailey, Durham at 6pm on Thursday 10 September. Please join us to meet members of the BIEA team, community and editors of JEAS and the African Arguments book series. We are looking forward to connecting with interested researchers, and to celebrating the winner of the 2025 JEAS Editors’ Choice Award!
There are many reasons to become a member of the BIEA and join our research community. The BIEA membership is open to all researchers and early career researchers.
